What Is The Best Place to Get a Coffee?

In Loveland, we are fortunate enough to have multiple coffee and drink locations within reach; yet, I have found that there is only one that truly takes the cake.

Some of us may assume that Mile 42 is the best coffee shop: it is in our town’s square, right next to the bike trail, and the prices are relatively reasonable. However, Mile 42 falls short in their cramminess and lack of sizes. They also have no drive-thru, so there is certainly room for improvement, convenience-wise. While Mile 42 is great, there are most definitely other coffee shops that shine brighter.

What coffee shop comes to your mind when someone says they would like a coffee? The most common answer to this question would be Starbucks. To be blunt, Starbucks is extremely overpriced for the somewhat mediocre quality of their drinks. Their medium size is 16 ounces, when it is typically commonplace for a medium-sized coffee to be around 24 ounces. Starbucks drinks are priced the same as other competing coffee shops, but with their substandard sizes and quality of coffee, they are certainly not the best place to grab a coffee.

7 Brew is almost the best place to grab a coffee: there is a very wide array of coffee and miscellaneous drink options, all of which I quite like. Their coffee is superb in my opinion, and this coffee shop also gets brownie points because their energy drinks are also very delectable. It is also worth noting that all of the aforementioned coffee and drink shops do not provide energy drinks. While 7 Brew is certainly delicious, the prices of those drinks are very high, so I personally cannot put the shop in the #1 spot in good conscience.

Right next to 7 Brew lies Dutch Bros. Both shops are very similar: they are only drive-thru and offer coffee and energy drinks. However, from every experience I have had at Dutch Bros, from either ordering coffee or an energy drink, I have found them to fall short. It also doesn’t help Dutch Bros’ case that they have very highly-priced drinks, like 7 Brew. If I’m being truly honest, Dutch Bros is my least favorite coffee shop of all of the coffee shops in this article.

And now, the moment you have been waiting for, the best shop to get a coffee: Dunkin! I recognize that this may be a bit of a controversial opinion; however, Dunkin is nevertheless the best coffee shop, as they have a very wide variety of drink options (and objectively the best food options) while also being the cheapest shop. I acknowledge that because of the lower prices on Dunkin drinks, some may assume that the quality of them is also lower, this is not the case. Dunkin’s prices divide them from all of the other aforementioned coffee shops in a great way. What is the point in paying upwards of $8 on a coffee that will be gone in the next half hour? Dunkin does not pose this question because their sizes are quite large in regard to the other coffee shops, and also much less pricey. You’re basically paying for an equally great coffee and saving a couple of dollars, so what could be better?
