Girl Scout cookies are an iconic type of cookie that everyone enjoys. Not only are you donating money to the Girl Scouts, but you get any pick of a wide variety of cookies. With 9 different varieties of cookies, there's bound to be something for everyone. The classics of Girl Scout cookies are Thin Mints, Caramel deLites, and the Peanut Butter Patties, but there are many more underrated types of cookies like the Caramel Chocolate Chip, Adventurefuls, Toast-yay, Peanut Butter Sandwich, Lemonades, and Trefoils. I’m here today to give an “unbiased” ranking of the top 5 Girl Scout cookies
Coming in at number 5 is the Caramel Chocolate Chip. Being one of two gluten-free Girl Scout cookies, the Caramel Chocolate Chip is a very friendly cookie for all types of people. It's a basic chewy cookie with a rich caramel flavor, semi-sweet chocolate chips, and a hint of sea salt. The Caramel Chocolate Chip also serves as a relatively lower calorie option with just around 50 calories per cookie and only 640 calories and 44 grams of sugar in the whole container. Although basic, you can’t really go wrong with the Caramel Chocolate Chip, making it the 5th best Girl Scout cookie.
Next up, at number 4, is the Adventurefuls. Being introduced in 2022, the Adventurefuls is one of the newer cookies that the Girl Scouts have to offer. Its unique, brownie-like cookie base, topped with caramel-flavored creme and a hint of sea salt makes it a great experience for cookie enjoyers. Because it’s a new addition to the Girl Scout lineup, it is one of the more health-conscious cookies. The Adventureful provides a unique and delicious flavor without being too unhealthy for the consumer, making it the perfect cookie to place at the number 4 spot.
Into the top 3, we have Thin Mints, the iconic staple of Girl Scout cookies. Despite being the face of Girl Scout cookies, Thin Mints only makes it to third place because of the underwhelming nature of the mint flavor and chocolate. Thin Mints are completely vegan and low-sugar cookie options for mint and cookie enjoyers. Although a great cookie overall, it can be overwhelming for non-mint enthusiasts like myself. The mint flavor overrides the chocolate in the cookie. Despite all that, the Thin Mint is still a classic, earning the 3rd spot.
Placing 2nd in the top 5 is the Peanut Butter Pattie. The Peanut Butter Pattie is a crunchy cookie covered in rich, creamy peanut butter coated in delectable chocolate. The Peanut Butter Pattie is heaven in a cookie for peanut butter enjoyers like myself. This cookie is truly one of the greats when it comes to Girl Scout cookies, which is why it earns the second spot, passed up only by the GOAT of all cookies.
At first, the BEST Girl Scout cookie, the Carmel deLites, formally known as the Samoa. The Caramel deLites is a crisp donut-shaped cookie topped with caramel, coconut, and chocolate stripes. Not only is it infinitely delicious, but it has one of the lowest calorie counts per serving for the whole Girl Scout line-up. The Samoa is truly a delicacy that can be enjoyed by anyone and everyone.
