HOCO Football Game

Homecoming is always an amazing experience for high school students worldwide. There is an insane amount of excitement that goes into this Homecoming week every year, from school pep rallies, and the parade to fun events like the powder puff game and volleyball, along with the main events of the football game and the Homecoming dance. Spirit Week is always an extremely fun activity to participate in. These festivities bring lots of excitement and anticipation into the week of Homecoming. The theme consists of:

Monday- Professional vs. Pajamas 

Tuesday- Dress like your favorite teacher 

Wednesday- Wednesdays we wear pink

Thursday- Adam Sandler 

Friday- Class colors 


This week's SCORE PREDICTIONS from your peers and players at Loveland High School:

Senior Captain Kole Dahlke (12) has Loveland coming out on top with a score of 28-13. Aren Duallert (12) predicts a score of 17-10, Tigers win. Andrew Sichak (12), believes that the Tigers will win with a score of 6-3. Senior captain Max Carver (12) has Loveland on top, 13-0. Rory Strayer (10) has Loveland with a win 24-17. Chase Dahlke (10) has Loveland 35-14. Aidan Higgins (10) chose Loveland 20-17. Blaine Weikert (10) believes that Loveland will win with a score of 35-20.           


Post-Game Overview: The Loveland Tigers beat the Turpin Spartans with a score of 23-7. The Loveland Tigers started on defense and forced a quick three and out! The offense got the ball and drove down the field, resulting in a 46-yard field goal by Brady Stidham (11). The rest of the first half consisted of many back-and-forth defensive stops and multiple missed opportunities by both offenses. 


Coming out into the second half the Loveland Tigers got the ball on offense. After a good drive, the Tigers came to a fourth down on the 31-yard line and attempted a field goal from 49 yards out, but after an unfortunate miss, the ball went back to Turpin. Then the Tiger's defense had a stifling stop to force another three and out for Turpin. The Tigers, back on offense after a few consecutive positive plays gave the ball to Chase Martin (11) who skillfully evaded multiple Turpin defenders and reached for the front pylon of the endzone for a 33-yard touchdown! The Tigers then went for a 2-point conversion but failed. Leaving the score at 9-0 Loveland was up with a little over 3 minutes in the third quarter.  


Then with Turpin on offense after a large gain to get them into Loveland territory, a pass across the middle was intercepted by Tyler McCaleb (11), giving the ball back to the Tigers offense. The Tigers offense then turned the ball over, leading to a score by Turpin bringing the game score to 9-7 in the fourth quarter. After an impressive stop, the Loveland Tigers defense forced Turpin to punt, giving the ball back to Chase Martin and the Loveland Tigers offense. On the fourteen-yard line in a critical moment in the fourth quarter, Chase Martin got the ball and scored an impressive 14-yard touchdown. Bringing the score to 16-7, Loveland up. After another stop by the Loveland defense, Chase Martin scored once again. With the Tiger's amazing defense and great play by the offensive line, the Tigers earned their first win, Tiger’s on top 23-7, on Homecoming night with a thrilling first win!
