As a big coffee lover, I always love exploring and trying out new coffee shops. I decided to highlight a new coffee shop around the Cincinnati area each month.
Today I will talk about Awakening Coffee. Awakening is a unique coffee shop that is one of my favorites. Located in Hyde Park Square, it is the perfect place to grab a cup of coffee and go shopping or read in the park. It is open from 6:30 am-6:00 pm every weekday and 7:30 am-7:00 pm on the weekends. They have a wide variety of drinks such as cold brew, espresso, lattes, and many more. I guarantee they will have something you would like. Even if you aren’t a big coffee drinker, they have a wide variety of hot and iced teas as well as pastries. One of my favorite drinks that makes Awakening super unique is their Cafe Cocoa. It is a half cup of coffee mixed with a half cup of hot chocolate and it is the best thing I have ever tasted. This drink is an awakening original, so I definitely think it is worth trying if you’re in the area. I’ve also tried their iced vanilla latte, which seemed kind of boring, however, it was the best latte I have ever tasted. Their prices are definitely on the cheaper side compared to more expensive places like Starbucks, with a latte going for as little as $2.50, while the same drink at Starbucks would go for $5.00. I have been to this coffee shop multiple times and can confidently say they have some of the best coffee in Cincinnati.
