Jack Harlow and Dua Lipa are two of the most famous pop music artists in 2023. Fans idolize these artists and love to hear about their personal lives. Recently, rumors have been flying around about these two musicians being more than just colleagues. After seeing these two spend time together outside of events and writing songs about each other, fans have started to speculate that Harlow and Lipa are in a relationship.
Dua Lipa’s music took off in 2015 and since then, she's released new songs like “New Rules” and “Don’t Start Now” which have also become very popular. Lipa has worked with DaBaby on her most recent hit “Levitating” which spent 3 weeks as #1 on the Billboard Charts.
Jack Harlow has a similar route to success in the music industry. Ever since Harlow’s music became popular on TikTok in 2020, his career has taken off. Harlow released a new album “Come Home The Kids Miss You” in May 2022, which has proven to be popular on more than just social media. Harlow’s song “First Class” was #1 on the Billboards for weekly streams for two consecutive weeks. This song beat out “As It Was” by Harry Styles as #1 for weekly streams.
The song that sparked listeners' curiosity on Harlow’s new album was called, “Dua Lipa.” Fans were excited about this possible Hollywood match-up when they heard this song because of the lyric, “Dua Lipa, I'm tryna do more with her than do a feature.” Many fans think Harlow was alluding to the fact that he has feelings for his fellow star. Harlow said in an interview that he got Lipa’s approval before releasing the song. She was not thrilled about the song when she first heard it, but she approved it for Harlow to release.
Six months prior to the song, “Dua Lipa” being released by Harlow, Lipa and her boyfriend, Anwar Hadid, had broken up after two years together. Fans speculated that Harlow started writing this song after hearing about this breakup as a way to spark communication with Lipa, but it appeared that Lipa did not feel the same way.
As time went by, fans were losing hope that this relationship would happen. However, Harlow sparked more rumors when he gave an interview with Us Weekly. He said that he has been in “constant communication” with Lipa and is “very interested in her.” This was more evidence of a possible relationship, but not enough to make claims. In December 2022, iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball was held in New York. Lipa was performing at this event and there were multiple reports of Harlow and Lipa hanging out during this event. The next day after the event, the pop stars were seen getting lunch together.
Although there is lots of evidence of the two being romantically involved, fans are still waiting for confirmation on Jack Harlow and Dua Lipa’s possible relationship. Many fans are waiting for the collaboration between these two as Harlow promised in his song about Lipa.
