The Loveland Roar Debuts LHS Sports Podcast

Loveland, Ohio - The Loveland Roar has announced plans to debut their first ever podcast later this week. Co-editor-in-chief Ben Hicks (12) and Sports Editor Chase Gibson (12) will co-host a weekly show centered around all things Loveland High School Athletics.

Produced by Ryan Dooley (12) of Digital Media Productions, the show, entitled Loveland Sports Talk Radio, will be released each week on Wednesday or Thursday afternoons, following Tuesday afternoon recordings. The Roar and DMP have collaborated to produce various promotional videos in the past, but this alliance is unlike anything the two groups have ever published together.

Loveland Sports Talk Radio had been in the works since last spring, but The Roar lacked the studio and camera equipment necessary to produce a high-quality show. When Dooley approached Hicks in need of a year-long project at the beginning of the school year, Loveland Sports Talk Radio swiftly came to fruition.

A roughly ten to twenty minute production, Loveland Sports Talk Radio will be published both in video form on The Loveland Roar’s YouTube channel, and in audio form on Apple Podcasts and Spotify. It will consist of three recurring segments, along with rotating special segments. Each episode will open with a burning question sure to spark intense debate, followed by an informational interview with a current LHS student-athlete, before concluding with a recap and preview of each in-season team at Loveland High School.

Episode #1 was filmed last week and will be released tomorrow as a test show. Regularly scheduled releases will begin this week, with Episode #2 being published Thursday afternoon at 2:00pm. Be sure to reach out to any of the hosts with questions or recommendations for the show. Be on the lookout for Episodes #1 and #2 later this week!
