Loveland Football vs Lebanon

This week on August 29th, 2025, the Loveland Tigers took on the Lebanon Warriors in a Friday Night Lights matchup in week two of this year’s football season. Coming into this game, the Lebanon Warriors were 1-0, while the Loveland Tigers were 0-1. This is a special game for both teams due to the game being named the OHSAA game of the week and being featured on television around Ohio. The Loveland Tigers lost their week one matchup 34-14 against the Harrison Wildcats, and the Lebanon Warriors won their week one matchup against Northmont High School 20-5. Due to the outcomes along with the score differentials, the Lebanon Warriors came into this game as the favorites to win. Some key players from the Tigers going into this game are Calvin Lorek (12), who is a 3-year varsity starter committed to Northwestern, and Chase Martin (12), who is a versatile dual-sport athlete pacing to have a dominant season for the Tigers this year. On the other hand, the Warriors boast players such as Luke Faler (12), who is an athletic dual-threat quarterback who holds two Division 1 offers, along with Brody Lamb (11), who plays on both sides of the ball as an interior lineman. 


On Friday Night, the Lebanon Warriors came out on top over the Tigers in an overtime win, 28-25. This game was an absolute thriller, going back and forth the whole game with many big scores along with turnovers from both teams. The Warriors started with the ball and put together a good drive into the red zone, but after a blocked kick by Tyler McCaleb (12), the score remained with zeros across the board. From there, the Tigers got out to a lead in the first half after two receiving touchdowns from Tyler McCaleb (12) and Anderson Knecht (12), paired with a Chase Martin (12) rushing score. At the half, the Tigers had the lead 22-7. Coming out of the half, the Tigers’ offense was stagnant, and with three fumbles in the second half, the Tigers could not put up anything on the board. On the other hand, the Lebanon Warriors were fueled to come back, and after two big touchdowns, the Warriors tied the game at 22-22 and forced overtime. The Tigers got the ball to start overtime, leading to a stop by the Warriors’ defense, but fortunately, a chance at a field goal, which was made by Brady Stidham (12) and led to a Tigers lead 25-22 in overtime, leaving Lebanon a chance with the ball. The Warriors put together a good drive and scored a walk- off touchdown to beat the Tigers in a 28-25 overtime thriller in the OHSAA game of the week.
