Christmas Events in Loveland

With Thanksgiving ending, it is safe to say the Christmas season is finally here. As we gear up for the Holiday season, we can expect some super fun events here in our hometown. Loveland never disappoints with all the festivities they plan every year, and we can expect this year to be just as great as the rest.

The first event Loveland will be hosting is Small Business Saturday. Held on Saturday, November 26th, Small Business Saturday is hosted by the Little Miami River Chamber Alliance and is a great way for you to visit all the amazing businesses held right here in Loveland. Shoppers are given a shopping pass that they will get stamped every time they visit a business. Once they are done shopping they turn in their pass which is automatically entered into a raffle to win various prizes. If you love to shop, and you love Loveland businesses, this is the event for you. Another event that will also begin on November 26th is the Holiday Light Recycling. The Loveland Sustainability Council is promoting this recycling challenge starting November 26th through January 20th. It is a friendly competition between the City of Loveland, Miami Township, and Symmes Township to see who can recycle the most Christmas lights. The community that recycles the most lights wins “bragging rights.” Lights can be dropped off at City Hall, Move2Loveland/Keller Williams, and Symmes Administration Building. If you have some old, broken Christmas lights, definitely consider recycling them at one of these three locations.

The new tradition is definitely expected to be a Loveland favorite, and that is the Christmas Tree Lighting Festival. The Christmas Tree Lighting Festival will take place on December 3rd from 4-8 pm and has something for everyone. It will be located at the Jackson Street Market and will include a lot of fun holiday events and entertainment including a holiday market, character meet and greet, food trucks, treats for children, photo op spots, and more. The tree lighting will begin at 7 pm located right on the Loveland Bike Trail. Don’t miss seeing the beautiful tree light up Downtown Loveland.

Taking place on the morning of the tree lighting is Loveland Santa Land. It will be held from 11 am-3 pm in the Loveland Plaza Parking lot. The real Santa will be there live for everyone to meet. There will also be a fun Christmas train running for the entire duration of the event for all the children to ride. The balloon elves will also be there making whatever balloon animals you can imagine, along with face painters and caricature artists. The Alpine Slide will make a return this year for everyone to enjoy and free pizza and drinks will be provided.

The last and most popular event is the annual Christmas in Loveland. This is definitely a town favorite that I personally look forward to every year. This year Christmas in Loveland will be held on December 17th from 4-8 pm. Visitors can enjoy many fun holiday events including carriage rides, train rides, complimentary tastings from area restaurants, Christmas entertainment, a live nativity scene, and so much more. I would definitely mark your calendars for this one.
